April Message From the GM

April continues to be an exciting month for Relay. The system is expanding to over 60 stations and 500 bikes on April 19th. The new bikes arrived earlier this month and the Cyclehop team has been inspecting and prepping the bikes for the launch. Check out behind the scenes photos here >> http://relaybikeshare.com/relay-bike-share-500-bikes/

Beginning this week, the new bikes and stations will roll out in waves. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for new stations installations and new bike deployment. Also make sure to check out our new pricing structure explained in this post here. >>> http://relaybikeshare.com/relay-bike-share-price-updates/

Cyclehop is excited to partner with the City of Atlanta and Georgia’s Own Credit Union for the Relay expansion event at Piedmont Park on the 19th. It’ll be a great opportunity to highlight Relay in the city, go on another bike ride, and our founding riders to come together to celebrate the expansion of the bike share! Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are Atlanta!

The Relay Team appreciates your support!

Dear Relay Member,

We at Relay are super excited to roll-out the 500 bikes. The past ten months during our “demo” phase has flown by. Since we launched last June, we have had numerous opportunities to talk with people throughout the city of what they liked about the “Big Blue Bikes” and what we could do to improve. A topic we heard over and over again was to lower the price. Well Atlanta, we listened and it is with great pleasure that I present to you the pricing updates for our 2017 expansion:

Local Passes:
Monthly Recurring Pass: $10.00 per month – with annual commitment, includes 90 minutes of riding time per day. (reduced from $20 per month)
Month to Month Pass: $15.00 per month – no annual commitment, includes 90 minutes of riding time per day.

Visitor Passes:
Pay As You Go: $3.50 for 30 minutes, and $0.15 per minute after (reduced from $8 minimum fee)
Prepaid Pass: $24 for 24 hour access, includes 5 hours of riding time, expires after 24 hours

Other Offers:
Student Pass: $7.50/month (includes 90 minutes of riding time per day)
SNAP Pass: $5.00/month (includes 90 minutes of riding time per day for low- income community members)

The change in the fare structure will not negatively impact anyone with existing monthly passes. If you really like the current pass you have, you can keep your plan. However, for all new passes only the updated plans will be available.

In order to capture the benefits of the new Local Passes, please go to https://app.socialbicycles.com/ , cancel your current subscription and sign up for the new plan. (Details below)

The updated pricing plans will go into effect on April 10th. All bike share station signs and our website will reflect the new pricing. Should you have any additional questions with the changes, please reach out to us over email at info@relaybikeshare.com or give us a call at 678.710.9900.

Sincerely,

Your local Relay Team
