Music in the Park – Riders Needed
April 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
On Sunday, April 22nd, for the 8th annual event, Music in the Park will Take It to the Streets for an open streets event in West End.
One mile of Ralph David Abernathy Blvd will be open to people and closed to cars from 2 to 6pm. The route will connect with the Westside Trail at Gordon White Park for an additional 2 miles of safe routes for biking, skating, walking and other human-powered activities including plenty of fun ways to create figure eights.
Participants can expect a wealth of activities hosted by community organizations, businesses and multiple live music stages throughout the route. The inaugural Westside Trail Community Health Grant recipients will share their innovative programming that increases physical activity levels, promotes trail usage, and improves health outcomes in the communities surrounding the Westside Trail.
We’re looking for a group of people to ride Relay Bike Share and wear a Relay shirt in the parade with the band. We will provide a gift bag and Relay t-shirt to confirmed riders.
If your interested in securing a bike and representing active forms of transportation in the parade, please contact:
