The Champions have been busy training and preparing for their safety outreach campaign, See Us Rollin’. As a team, the Champions will share the unified message that, people riding bikes are vehicles. The Champions will include both motorist and people on bikes in their community outreach.
Below are some of the events the Champions participated in last month.
Dunbar Elementary Bike Parade
The Atlanta Bike Champions participated in a Bike Parade at Dunbar Elementary. The parade was organized by a local cyclist Neill Davis. He showed the staff and children the benefits of riding a bike.
Light the Farm Fundraiser with Truly Living Well
The Champions joined Truly Living Well in a holiday celebration and fundraiser. The event is over, but there are still plenty of opportunities for you to donate to Truly Living Well which helps support the work they do in the community.

Urban Confidence Ride
We hosted an Urban Confidence Ride Class with Atlanta Bike Coalition. The participants left from West End Park to embark on a journey around the West End of Atlanta. The goal of the ride was awareness and bike safety. We took it slow, stayed together and practiced safe riding skills. As a group we rode to the West End MARTA Station and the Walmart on Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. We saw a lot of smiling faces and interest in the blue bikes. It was a Saturday and we were able to show the Westside of Atlanta that bikes and cars can coexist when we “take the lane”.
